Origin Gallery was founded by William Davis and Matthew Davis by bringing together decades of experience in fine art, antiques, auctions, historic preservation, and collecting. United by a shared passion for the American West and its artistic legacy, they created Origin Gallery as a destination dedicated to exceptional artwork, meaningful storytelling, and the enduring spirit of the region.
William and Matthew Davis are second-generation antiques professionals whose family has been active in the antiques, collectibles, and auction industry since 1969. Raised in a family business centered on the appreciation of Western art, Native American artifacts, historical Americana, and fine antiques, the brothers developed an early passion for preserving history through exceptional objects. Together, they have built Davis Brothers Auction into one of the Northwest's leading auction houses, earning a reputation for expertise and integrity. Through the handling of important estates, private collections, and significant works of art, they have connected collectors across the country with some of the finest examples of Western heritage and American craftsmanship.
Brian Sippy is a retired physician, respected collector, preservationist, and arts advocate whose influence has helped shape Missoula's cultural landscape. He is recognized for developing the Radius Gallery building and the adjacent building that Origin now occupies, which has uplifted important regional artists, historic works, and provided a platform for Allez!, the innovative outdoor gallery initiative that transformed downtown Missoula by bringing public art directly into the community. Origin Gallery also partners with Brian's company, Art Vault, located in the basement of Radius Gallery building.
